Rick’s Place is… A place for laughter and a place for sadness. It’s a place to remember those who have died in a safe and compassionate environment. Trained volunteers design and facilitate support programs for children and their families. Parents, caregivers and guardians meet in an adult support group where they can talk about and share the challenges of raising a grieving child/children.
Rick’s Place serves families with children age 5-18 in Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut. There is no charge to join.
The Best Thing About Rick’s Place is…It is a supportive environment which offers opportunities to meet with others with similar experiences. All the while, knowing that the children are receiving significant benefits and tools to help them with their grief process. (Response from an adult group member.)
